Hollywood Jesus Movie Night

Join us on Friday, October 25th, at 7:00 p.m. for the movie, The Best of Enemies. It’s based on the true story of the struggle between civil rights activist Ann Atwater, and Ku Klux Klan President C.P. Ellis. In 1971, they argued on opposite sides of the Durham, North Carolina, school integration fight, yet developed an unlikely friendship along the way. One reviewer called it “a tale so unlikely that had this been a novel, it would have been rejected as unrealistic.”

Taraji P. Henson (Hidden Figures, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, for which she received an Academy Award nomination) and Sam Rockwell (Vice, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, for which he won an Academy Award) both star in this movie.

We’ll view the film together, then discuss the theology we find within. Snacks, drinks and comfy chairs will be provided. Friends, neighbors and dates are always welcome!
