The congregation of Overbrook Church is very active in serving God’s people. We invite you to join us as we continue to participate in community outreach throughout the time of the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond. Make sure to check the list below regularly to see what new efforts have been added as we navigate this uncertain time together and work to lift up those needing support around us.
Bake Cookies for Open Shelter
Bake any kind of cookies and then package two cookies each in small plastic sandwich baggies. Once you have them finished, email Nadine Moehlencamp (email@example.com) to arrange for drop-off.
Chalk and Run
Decorate sidewalks/driveways of church members. Contact Meris Longmeier (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Mary Gause (email@example.com) for the names/addresses of 3-4 church members who would benefit from positive messages of love and care on their driveway or walkway. We can even provide chalk if you need it!
Collect & Deliver Food Donations
We’ll assign you a local place and ask that you collect donations and deliver to food pantries. If you’re interested in this option, please email Meris Longmeier (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more details. Thank you to the folks who have already volunteered for this one!
Share Your Art
Are you good at drawing, painting, coloring or other artwork? We’re hoping to brighten the days of some of our members who are stuck at home and are missing the fellowship at Overbrook Church. If you’re interested in this opportunity, please email Meris Longmeier (email@example.com) and you will be matched with an address for sending a card/picture/art.
Pack Groceries at NNEMAP
The NNEMAP food pantry has a unique opportunity where people can serve by packing up the groceries at their location so that they can be delivered to their patrons. You’ll fill bags and boxes of food which will be delivered at a later time by others. Call 614-297-0533 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to help. Donations of non-perishable items are always welcomed at this pantry too!
