Hygiene Connection
Filling a Basic Need
The Hygiene Connection provides a consistent bank of necessary personal hygiene items to the families served by our local social service agency partners.
The Reasons
We partner with established local agencies to provide a consistent bank of necessary personal hygiene items for the families they serve.
An average family spends over $100 a month on hygiene and personal care needs and rising prices and changes to SNAP (food stamp) benefits Medicaid eligibility make it difficult for families to purchase them.
SNAP benefits don’t cover hygiene products like shampoo, toilet paper, toothpaste, feminine products, deodorant, and soap. Partner agencies are struggling to provide these items to their clients.
We also reduce the burden on our partner agencies by both storing and providing them with stock on demand. This allows the partner agencies to spend more of their funds on food and services for their clients.
How You Can Support Neighbors in Need
Donate
Hygiene items (shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, lotion, feminine hygiene items, and razors) can be dropped off at the church or call the office (614-261-1040) for pick up.

Inspired by Matthew 25
The Matthew 25 Initiative grows out of Jesus’ claim that we show his love when we care for our neighbors in need. During the COVID pandemic, we realized a great need in our community. “I was hungry, and you gave me food, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger, and you welcomed me, I was naked, and you gave me clothing, I was sick, and you took care of me, I was in prison, and you visited me…Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”
