Session Guidelines for Outdoor Gatherings

(Restricted only to church groups at this time)

Approved by Session April 27, 2021

(Updated 5/25/21)

Considering Covid 19 limitations, events, meetings, and activities could be hosted outdoors and in-person under the following parameters:

  1. Events/meetings will be held in the OPC parking lot or other outdoor areas of the OPC property or in other offsite, outdoor locations. These guidelines are in effect for all OPC activities whether they are hosted at OPC or at an offsite location.
  2. If vaccinated, no masks or social distancing are required. Social distancing is encouraged as to help keep those who cannot be vaccinated safe.
  3. If not vaccinated, social distancing is required. A mask is required when social distancing is not possible.
  4. Please take your temperature before leaving your house and stay home if you have a temperature or feeling unwell.
  5. Participants should provide for their own seating.
  6. Bathrooms are available on a one-at-a-time basis (or one person and their helper, if needed). Cleaning/sanitizing protocols established by Overbrook church must be followed.
  7. The church playground is available at your own risk. Masks are required here, as well.
  8. All consumption of food/beverage must be done while seated and socially distanced and cannot be shared with others outside your family/pod.
  9. If food and beverage is provided, it must be in individual serving containers and masks/social distancing must be maintained while obtaining food provided. No shared food/beverages are allowed. (ie. Buffet, refillable drinks, common containers)
  10. The group leader/event organizer will be responsible for making sure all participants are made aware of these guidelines.
  11. Meetings will be scheduled with Mary Shaffer.

NOTE: This policy supercedes to “Guidelines for In-Person, Small Group Meetings & Fellowship Activities adopted by Session action on June 23, 2020. This document does not supersede any OPC session action regarding closures of the OPC building and/or John Beltz Retreat Center.
