Columbus Cancer Clinic MammogramsColumbus Cancer Clinic, Provided by LifeCare Alliance |
Those interested in scheduling a screening mammogram can call the Columbus Cancer Clinic medical secretary at 614-263-5006, extension 105, to make an appointment. New clients will be sent registration forms that must be filled out and returned before getting the mammogram. Because the registration needs to occur ahead of time, walk-in patients can not be accommodated.
The cost for the mammogram is $85 which can be billed to the patient's insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. This cost includes the mammogram itself along with a radiologist's interpretation. Written results will be mailed to the patient and the patient's doctor(s) within 1-2 weeks.
A sliding scale fee is available for low-income clients. For clients with no health insurance and who qualify financially, there are programs available that may pay for the cost of the screening mammogram, such as the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, and the BEST Program through the American Cancer Society. When a client calls to schedule an appointment, the person handling the call can determine the client's eligibility for one of these programs.
