Easter, Holy Week & Lent 2021

Easter Sunday

Online Easter Worship & Communion
On Sunday, April 4th, join us online for a traditional Easter worship service with Communion – just follow the instructions above to access online worship. This special service will be posted a little earlier (at 6:00 a.m.) so you can worship God at a time which is most convenient for you. Just follow the instructions at the top of this email to access online worship.

 

In-Person Easter Worship
Join us in the shadow of the bell tower to celebrate the resurrection of Christ! On Sunday, April 4th, we will celebrate Easter with worship at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (identical services). Services will be a blend of contemporary and traditional styles and will include opportunities for us all to join together with singing and prayer as we mark this holy day. Registration is required to attend these services – you can do so by calling the church office.

 

Holy Week

“Palm Saturday”
Join us for a special DRIVE THRU event on Saturday, March 27th, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to help us Kick off Holy Week! We will have palms for you to take home and WAVE during Sunday worship, Holy Week Devotionals for adults, Holy Week bags for children and youth, an Easter Egg Hunt Game with winning prize baskets for adults and children, and a special Easter treat from one of our members. All activities will be done from your car and as touchless as possible! Our helpers will be masked, and we ask that those inside your car are masked while participating. So swing by to celebrate our journey towards Easter!

 

Palm Sunday
On Sunday, March 28th, join us online for a Palm Sunday worship service – just follow the instructions at the top of this email to access online worship.

 

Maundy Thursday

On Thursday, April 1st, join us online for a Maundy Thursday worship service – just follow the instructions at the top of this email to access online worship.

 

2021 Lenten Bible Study

During the season of Lent, we invite you to join us on Monday evenings from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. for our Virtual Lenten Bible Study, “Who Are We?”  Over the 6 Mondays of Lent (2/21 – 3/29) we will explore what it means to be a disciple in today’s wild world and what it means to live into the love and grace of Jesus. There is no reading or required preparation. Registration is required by Sunday, February 21st in order to get the Zoom link. To register please send an email to mgause@overbrookchurch.org or call the church office.
